Briefly, Mathew and I met in January of 2015 through a mutual friend, which many people do not know. We crossed paths again in March of 2015 during an EMT class, where he was a student and I was observing for continuing education to renew my certification. I remember walking through the door and seeing one familiar face in the classroom, which was Mathew. Intially, he stared at me for a solid thirty seconds, however after circling the room to find a seat, I found myself sitting next to him. I remember saying "Hey!" and him not saying anything and just staring at me. Intitally, I was thinking "Why is he just staring at me..." and "Well this just got real awkward real fast." Then I remember his friend, Jason, whom he met in that EMT class entering the room and sitting behind me. Apparently, I was sitting in Jason's seat, which I overheard as Mathew and Jason non-discreetly discussed "Who is that?" I continued to attend the class and after the second class, I recieved a Facebook friend request from the one and only, Mathew Hulsey. Immediately after accepting the request, I recieved a Facebook message from him and we have been inseparable ever since.
